CHIPOTLE CHEESEBURGER LETTUCE WRAP

INGREDIENTS

Burger:

1 pound lean beef

1 chipotle pepper, canned in adobo sauce, finely chopped (optional)

2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

1 tablespoon minced garlic

½ tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

½ teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Sriracha Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

¼ cup plain Greek yogurt

½ tablespoon Sriracha sauce (use more or less depending on your preference)

⅛ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt to taste

Toppings:

8 leaves of lettuce, for wrapping

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

1 medium tomato (optional)

½ avocado, sliced (optional)

¼ small red onion (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine the ingredients for the Sriracha Garlic Yogurt Sauce in a small bowl and mix well.

Cover the bowl and set it in the refrigerator until the burgers are done.

Combine all of the ingredients for the burgers in a medium bowl and mix well with your hands.

Divide the meat mixture into four parts and create the burger patties with your hands.

Heat the grill to high.

Once heated, reduce the temperature to medium-low.

Add the patties to the grill and cook them for 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Flip the burgers and cook for another 3-5 minutes (depending on how you like them cooked).

Slice and prepare your toppings while the burgers are cooking.

Take the burgers off of the grill and top with cheese.

Garnish the burger with your remaining toppings of choice, including a tablespoon of the Sriracha Garlic Yogurt Sauce.

Use 2 lettuce leaves to wrap your burger as tight as you can.

Serve and enjoy!
